The City of Dania Beach only accepts applications for positions currently advertised and does not accept unsolicited resumes. Please submit the required employment application (and resume) to the Human Resources Department. Applications must be received by the indicated deadline date. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to: evaluation of training and experience, written test, oral test and performance test.

Q. How do I apply?
A. The City of Dania Beach encourages you to apply online. Computers are available in the lobby of City
Hall and in the library located next door. If applying online is impossible, please come to the City of
Dania Beach Human Resources Department in City Hall to receive a paper application and the
corresponding supplemental questions.
Q. If I meet the minimum qualifications, will I be interviewed?
A. Interviews are not guaranteed upon meeting the minimum qualifications. Candidates are selected for
an interview based on education and work experience that most closely match the requirements.
Q. What is the minimum age requirement for full-time employment with the City?
A. 18 years of age
Q. What type of employment screening is performed by the City?
A. The City is a drug free workplace and requires a pre-employment drug test, physical, background
screening, and E-Verify verification.
Q. Should I turn in anything along with my application?
A. Our online hiring system allows for the attachment of multiple documents including resumes, cover
letters, references, recommendations, certifications, diplomas, transcripts etc. You may attach any/all
of those items at the time of application.

Q. What type of benefits does the City offer?
A. The City provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental, disability, vision,
and RX for employees and their dependents. We are an FRS employer and offer additional savings
plans through a 457 deferred compensation plan. The City also provides 11 paid holidays, 3 personal
days, minimum 2 weeks vacation after one year, and 12 sick days (subject to position status and
collective bargaining agreements).
