CIP & Drainage Improvement Projects
The City of Dania Beach is working hard on alleviating flooding by implementing Drainage Improvements in multiple areas of the City.
Ocean Park Drainage Improvements Project
Dania Cove / SW 25 Terrace
Dania Cove / SW 25 Terrace Drainage Improvement was completed in October 2021 - This is a residential drainage project that addresses flooding from stormwater on the north end of SW 25 Terrace. The project consisted of recontouring the road and installing drainage structures to direct stormwater to retention areas in the park. In addition, new curb and gutter was installed, drain inlets were added and the roadway was re-paved. Prior to the project’s completion, the roadway, parking area, and entrance to Dania Cove Park would flood during periods of just moderate rain. The flooding usually blocked access to the park. In March 2020, the City Commission authorized an engineering consultant, Calvin Giordano and Associates to design drainage improvements, which was followed by the construction phase which began in April 2021 and was completed in October.
